Training for RTG & RMG Operators

 

RTGs and RMGs are gantry cranes that move on tires or rails and that are used for container stacking, shifting and handling operations in our container yards.

 

Purpose of the Training Session

The purpose is to teach trainees the skills needed to use and operate RTG and RMG machinery.

Training for MHC Operators

 

These mobile quayside cranes are fitted with rubber tires and are used to move containers between the quay and the vessel and to handle vessel hatch covers.

 

Purpose of the Training Session

The purpose is to teach trainees the skills needed to use and operate MHC machinery.

These quayside gantry cranes have steel wheels, move on rails and are used to move containers between the quay and the vessel and to handle vessel hatch covers.

Training for TT (Terminal Tractor) Operators

 

This transfer vehicle is fitted with rubber tires and a trailer that is used to transport, move and handle containers in our yards.

 

Purpose of the Training Session

The purpose is to teach trainees the skills needed to use and operate TTs.

Stevedore Training

 

These are operation supervisors who work on the vessel and who assist and direct the quayside MHC and SSG machinery operators when handling containers. They also direct other crewmen on the vessel who handle the lifting sling and spreader bar.

 

 

Purpose of the Training Session

The purpose is to teach trainees the skills and attention needed to work on the vessel to assist and direct the quayside MHC and SSG machinery operators when handling containers on the vessel. Other skills include directing the other crewmen on the vessel who handle the lifting sling and spreader bar.
